NBA: Preseason-Minnesota Timberwolves at Chicago BullsThe never-ending injury problems surrounding Derrick Rose continued on this Thursday. Everybody heard Derrick Rose’s comments about his last injury, and many people are questioning his commitment to his team right now, no one understands Derrick Rose.

Here is a refresher of what he said:

“I’m thinking about when I’m done with the game, about long term. I’ll have meetings to go to and family graduations. I don’t want to be all sore in these meetings or at my son’s graduation because of my past. I’m trying to learn and be smart”

Miami Heat players, Luol Deng and Dwyane Wade are defending Rose in this situation.

“I was there from the beginning, from his rookie year, I was there when he grew up,” told Luol Deng in an interview for Bleacher Report. “I remember when he first came to the league, me and Noah kept telling him, ‘Derrick you are hurt, you can’t play tonight.’ But he would play even when he was injured. I remember he had many injuries because he used to play hurt. He always puts the city and the team behind him. He always was so determined, he wanted to be the best for his city, for his team. He was the best.”

“We wanted to show him the difference between injury and pain. I think that now after what he has been through (two big injuries) he’s learning and being smart. In the future everyone is going to appreciate what Derrick is doing. The way he said it didn’t sound right but no one understands Derrick Rose . Actually he meant he wants to be there for his city, for his team and I’m pretty sure about it”

Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade has been through this situation for years and he understands Rose’s mental state so he took up his defense.

“If you have never been really injured, seriously injured, an injury that could destroy your career, you will never understand Derrick Rose’s mental state when he said that,” Dwyane told Bleacher Report. “What I understand is that he cares about his team and their game and he wants to be out there but he also must make smart decisions about his future and his body”

We really hope he will be fine in no time and we hope to see him catching up his old MVP form!!!
